Where are you from / where do you live?

I’m originally from Frankfurt, Germany, and recently relocated to London with my partner. After spending five wonderful years together in Germany, we decided it was time for me to leave my home turf and give him the home advantage for a change! London is such an amazing and vibrant city to live in, and I’ve really enjoyed exploring everything it has to offer.

When did you join Proxima, and what excited you about the opportunity?

I joined Proxima in May 2026. After meeting the team, I immediately felt that Proxima would be a great fit for me and after being here for a few months, my expectations have been exceeded. It’s such a supportive and collaborative environment, which makes an already enjoyable job even more rewarding. Being part of a company that genuinely values its people and celebrates individuality is something I really appreciate. I was also excited by the opportunity to support growth across multiple markets and to be part of a business that is growing so quickly.

What is your role as Talent Acquisition Assistant?

As a Talent Acquisition Assistant, I support candidates throughout their entire recruitment journey, from the initial application stage through to onboarding. My responsibilities include scheduling interviews, screening candidates, preparing offer letters and contracts and supporting the onboarding process. I work closely with Alannah, our Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, to support hiring activities across the UK and Germany. Ultimately, my role is to ensure candidates have a positive experience and a great first impression of Proxima. Talent Acquisition is often someone’s first interaction with a company, so helping create a welcoming, professional and engaging experience is something I really enjoy.

What does a typical day look like for you?

What I love most about my role is that every day is a little different, every day brings something new. My work usually involves scheduling interviews, speaking with candidates, keeping our systems and trackers up to date and supporting candidates throughout their hiring process by answering questions and providing updates. It’s a dynamic environment, and with Proxima’s continued growth, it’s exciting to see the impact our team is making.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Having been on the candidate side of the recruitment process myself, I know how important it is to find the right opportunity. I enjoy meeting people from a wide range of backgrounds and helping them find a role where they can thrive. Supporting both candidates and the business in finding the right fit is incredibly rewarding – especially when you stay in touch with someone through the entire process and then see them start their journey at Proxima and thrive in their new role.

What are you most proud of about working at Proxima?

I’m most proud of how much Proxima encourages growth and invests in its people. It’s genuinely a supportive and collaborative environment, which makes even the busiest days feel manageable. Everyone is approachable, willing to help, and committed to working together to achieve the best outcomes. I’m also proud to be part of a business that is growing while still maintaining such a people-focused culture. It’s something that stood out to me when I joined and continues to stand out every day.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

Since relocating to London at the beginning of the year, I’ve loved exploring the city, trying new cafés and restaurants and spending time with friends. I’m passionate about art, so you’ll often find me visiting museums or catching a film at the cinema on a rainy day. When the weather is nice, I enjoy going for long walks and exploring London’s many beautiful parks – and hopefully doing so with a new furry addition to the family soon! I also love travelling and discovering new cultures whenever I get the chance.
