Modern supply chain dynamics are shifting
A historical focus on price, consolidation, and ‘just-in-time’ has created highly efficient supply chains at the expense of simplicity, transparency, and resilience. Leaders are increasingly turning to their organisations and asking why they have so little visibility of what happens outside their own four walls and what protection they have against supplier failure, cost variance, and reputational damage. This often leads to a desire to automate, re-shore, or add in additional resilience, which, without a planned approach, leaves supply chains under-optimised and with inflated costs.
“Proxima provides hands on industry experts that put quite simply get the job done.”
Balancing profitability against volatility
Organisations seek a reset in a volatile economic environment, balancing price against agility, resilience, sustainability, and working capital needs. They seek to be agile but not at all costs, creating a model that balances competitive tension against modern market dynamics. Our supply chain optimisation services are designed to build or transform towards the supply chains that balance the short-term acceleration opportunity with the long-term needs of organisations, providing:
- Mapping of critical supply chains and identification of proven risks and weak points
- ‘Trade-offs’ analysis for re-configuring to inject greater flexibility and resilience
- Insight to new market opportunities that have opened
- Identification and delivery of optimisation opportunities
Proxima’s approach to optimising your supply chain
Proxima will deploy a team of supply chain & procurement experts into the organisation to undertake a detailed review and document opportunities and improvement initiatives across areas like cost, capability, transparency, risk, inventory, and logistics. In doing so, we will work with internal teams to understand the critical needs and dynamics of key partnerships before making an in-depth appraisal. We will also provide where required the team to deliver the improvements.
- Develop specific strategies for critical goods/services and supply chains
- Work with existing suppliers on their transparency resilience strategies
- Support the business to build a risk framework and implement digital monitoring
