Mitch Hallahan

Where are you from/where do you live? I grew up in the ever-popular tourist town of Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula. I now live near Phillip Island, famous for the penguins.

When did you join Proxima, and what was exciting about the opportunity? I joined Proxima in June 2026. What excited me about the opportunity was to be part of an exciting growth period in the region. Working for an organization where there are already so many familiar faces from my previous role.

What is your role as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist? My role is to contribute to the growth of Proxima Group in the APAC region, identifying the next wave of talent.

What does a typical day look like? It’s busy – the golf simulator in our office building usually is the first meeting of the day around 7am, and then into a day of candidate meetings, coffee with whoever is in the office, and any other projects we have on the go.

What do you enjoy most about your job? I love connecting with people, networking, and hearing about their career and aspirations.

What are you most proud of about working at Proxima? I’m most proud to be helping build Proxima’s next chapter in APAC. Connecting great people with a growing business.

What do you like to do when you’re not working? I still play AFL at a community level on the weekends. When the season isn’t on, you will find me on the golf course. I, too, have a healthy (I think) obsession with my lawn!!
